Google Strikes a Deal to bring 27,000 Chromebooks to U.S. Schools

Ok everyone let's start off with a little 101 on chromebooks. You see they're not traditional laptops, they're more like the Google alternative. They don't run Windows, Mac OS, or any other computer OS you might have heard of. Instead it uses Google Chrome, the WHOLE thing is Google Chrome, no desktop, no downloading games(except for in the Google App Store), and most of them come with 16 GB of storage at the most. They originally were showcased in CES 2011 and become commercially distributed in about May. Google has already lent some to library's and planes, and it seems that the next step is schools in Iowa, Illinois, and South Carolina(Google is now saying that schools in 41 states are using them with the addition of these three). Well now that you've learned a little on Chromebooks wouldn't it be cool to have a couple dozen out of those 27,000 Chromebooks being distributed across the states come to your school?
